Step-by-Step: Create Your 2026 Marketing Plan
You’re busy. Jobs. Crews. Customers. So this 2026 marketing plan is simple, clear, and fast.
Use this as a one-page guide you can hand to your team

Step 1: Look Back Before You Look Forward
Ask 3 quick questions about 2025:
What worked?
Google / SEO
Referrals
Yard signs
Facebook / Instagram
What flopped?
Where did the best customers come from?
Circle 2–3 things that worked best. Those get more time and money in 2026.
Step 2: Set 3 Simple Goals for 2026
Keep goals clear and easy to measure:
Leads: “I want ___ leads per month.”
Reviews: “I want ___ new Google reviews.”
Revenue: “I want to hit $_______ in sales.”
Write them at the top of your plan in big bold letters.
Step 3: Choose Your Top 3 Marketing Channels
Don’t try to do everything. Pick 3 only:
Google Business Profile (Maps)
Website + SEO
Paid ads (Google, Local Service Ads, or Facebook)
Email or text list
Social media
Referral / referral program
Mark your top 3 with a star: ⭐These are where you focus first.
Step 4: Make a Simple 12-Month Calendar
Think in quarters, not every little day.
Q1 (Jan–Mar)
Focus: Fix your basics
Tasks:
Update website and Google profile
Ask every happy customer for a review
Create 1–2 simple offers
Q2 (Apr–Jun)
Focus: Get visible
Tasks:
Turn on or clean up ads
Post before/after photos weekly
Add 2–3 FAQs or blog posts
Q3 (Jul–Sep)
Focus: Improve what’s working
Tasks:
Raise budget on winning ads
Cut what’s not working
Test 1 new offer
Q4 (Oct–Dec)
Focus: Finish strong + plan 2027
Tasks:
Run 1 year-end promo
Thank repeat customers
Review your numbers
Step 5: Know Your Numbers
Track just 3 metrics every month:
Leads: How many inquiries?
Jobs booked: How many “yes” calls?
Cost per lead: Money spent ÷ leads
Review these once a month for 15 minutes. If a channel is working, do more.If it’s dead, turn it off.
Step 6: Make a 90-Day Habit
Every 90 days, ask:
What will we do more of?
What will we stop?
What will we test next?
Write it on one page. Keep it simple.
